New Orleans Weather in June

With the average high around 89 degrees, weather in June in New Orleans is definitely heating up! Luckily, the jazz is hot too! New Orleans is also no stranger to summer storms (we receive an average 5.4 inches of rain for the month.) So what's the good news, you're wondering? Since June is considered part of the low travel season for the Big Easy, many hotels are offering steals (we mean, deals) on luxury rooms. #ProTip: You might access to a pool while you’re here! So pack your swimsuit, a beach towel, and sunscreen. Sunscreen and water: the two things you can’t have enough of, trust us.

You’ll definitely want to back light clothing that breathes – we recommend clothes like cotton and linen for optimum comfort. Cushy sandals are great for keeping your feet fresh. We cannot stress the need for sunglasses enough. And besides being fashionable, hats provide an extra layer of protection from the sun as well. (Bringing floppy back, anyone?)

All jokes aside, June is still a great month to visit. For things to do in New Orleans this summer, visit ExperienceNewOrleans.com.
