Fried Chicken Festival

September in New Orleans means two things: festivals and football! Check out our top picks below and take a peek at our events calendar for more September must-dos.

September Festivals in New Orleans

Restaurant Week New Orleans

From September 10-16, eat your heart out at Restaurant Week New Orleans. Many of our favorite eateries are offering prix-fixe menus that’ll make your tongue second line!

  • National Fried Chicken Festival

Join us at Woldenberg Park on September 22nd and 23rd for events like the Best Fried Chicken Contest, entertainment on two music stages, a kids pavilion, a misting lounge and celebrity cooking demonstrations. Make no bones about it – this is a fun event.

  • NOLA on Tap Beer Fest

Meet in City Park on September 22 for the NOLA On Tap Beer Festival. (While most beer festivals are held in October, the beer down here is so good we couldn’t wait.) Taste more than 400 brews, enjoy great New Orleans food, and dance to live music all day long. Proceeds benefit the Louisiana SPCA.

  • Saints Games

Who dat! On September 23rd and 30th, the boys will be home in the Dome where they’ll take on the Falcons and then the Giants. Come early to join the pre-party in Champions Square.

  • New Orleans Burlesque Festival

Shimmy and dip along with the best burlesque dancers in the world as they compete for the title "Queen of Burlesque," September 20-23. Click here for location information.
