Krewe of Boo, October 20

New Orleans’ official New Orleans Halloween parade is a spooktacular event. Come yell “throw me something, Monster” as all your favorite ghouls roll by.

Scout Island: Scream Park, October 5-7, 12-14, 19-21, 25-31 & November 2-3

This October, City Park premiers its Scream Park, featuring 3 haunted attractions, 3 themed fright zones, carnival thrill rides, music, and a scare-free zone for the little ones with a haunted hay ride, a maze and a pumpkin patch.

Oktoberfest, October 5-6, 12-13 & 19-20

Enjoy 3 weekends of oompah music, brats, schnitzel and German beer!  Sponsored by the Deutches Haus of New Orleans. 

Treme Fall Fest, October 5-7

Buck jump to the Treme for John Boutte, the Hot 8 Brass Band, Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers and others.

Beignet Fest, October 6

New Orleans City Park Festival Grounds will be filled with beignet lovers this October with powdered sugar smiles. Along with beignets, enjoy bands like Imagination Movers and Eric Lindell. 

Ghost Tours, All October

Tour the “Most Haunted City in America” with a guide who knows who’s buried where and who refuses to stay dead!

Gentilly Fest, October 12

Come to Gentilly for live music, great food, arts & crafts and Kids' Village activities, including pony rides, a kids stage, a New Orleans Fire Department fire truck, face painting, an imagination playground, pottery making and more.

WWII Air, Sea and Land Festival, October 12-14

This festival from the award-winning National World War II Museum features air shows, flight and vehicle demonstrations, and historical presentations by famous World War II heroes. 

Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival, October 12-14

Jimmie Vaughan, Samantha Fish, and Shemekia Copeland are headlining this year's celebration in Lafayette Square Park. Come hungry. All the best meat smokers and barbecue restaurants in the region will be there.

Mac n Cheese Fest, October 20

Love you some Mac n Cheese? Head to Louis Armstrong Park where you’ll find all kinds of  takes on this beloved American dish.

Boo at the Zoo, October 26, 26 & 28

This Halloween event at the Audubon Zoo is a safe, fun Halloween party perfect for kids up to age 12. You can trick-or-treat, ride the Ghost Train, tour a haunted house and more.

Voodoo Music & Arts Experience, October 26-28

“Worship the Music” with big-name headliners under the famous live oaks in City Park. Come see Mumford and Sons, Marilyn Manson, Childish Gambino, Arctic Monkeys, Odesza, Modest Mouse, The Revivalists, Zeds Dead, Third Eye Blind, Awolnation, Ty Dollar $ign, Lettuce and more.
